Description
Some floors and coatings are too think or hard for a flat blade to tear up quickly, like wood or thick epoxy. That’s where these heavy steel shanks really shine. Made of ultra-hardened tool steel, these shank blades hold their sharp edges well against even the hardest floors. They can be resharpened with a standard hand grinder and metal wheel to increase removal speed.
These angled blade shanks are ideal for the removal of wood, stone tile (including thick marble), epoxy floors, really tough thinset and thick rubber. Since this shank is angled and not straight, it can be more effective than a straight shank in getting under and tearing up wood planks and 12×12 or 18×18 tiles.
At just 2″ wide, the 7071-2 angled shank is the smallest and most aggressive of these blade shanks. It’s small size concentrates the full power and pressure of your floor scraper into a small 2″ area to quickly tear through and break up your flooring, so you can come back with a larger blade for cleanup. The 7071-2 measures 4″ deep x 2″ wide x .500″ thick.
Additional sizes of this blade type:
(Depth x Width x Thickness)
7071-2 – 4″ x 2″ x .500″
7071-3 – 4″ x 3″ x .500″
7071-4 – 4″ x 4″ x .500″
These straight shanks fit on all of National’s Ride-on Scrapers.
