Description
The 402601 Sharpening Holder is an essential tool to safely sharpen your carbide tips. Designed for efficiency, this holder will allow you to hold the Carbide Tips (PN 402394) while it is sharpened. Keep the tips in your Ultra HD Shank Kit (PN 403112) sharp and working effectively with this smart holder.
PLEASE NOTE: Attempting to resharpen a carbide blade using a metal wheel (that’s used to resharpen steel blades) will cause the carbide to fracture. Due to the nature of carbide, resharpening a carbide blade requires a special green wheel. While it is possible to do this with a hand grinder, it’s not recommended, as a single resharpen can take 30 minutes or more using such a small hand tool. A bench grinder can lower resharpening time for a carbide tip down to 5-10 minutes, depending on the blade width and how worn down it is. Carbide naturally takes longer to resharpen then a steel blade because it’s so much harder.
