Description
The (GT) Guillotine™ Blade is a patented slanted blade made of ultra-hardened tool steel, with a blade angle that allows the leading edge of the blade to slide into the work and stay there. This new design is so effective, you can come into the work head on or in the center of your flooring. When compared to a standard flat blade, a Guillotine™ Blade will cut into the floor or coating faster and tear through it longer before slowing. These are great for any removal application where you would use a standard heavy-duty blade.
Guillotine™ Blades are flexible and comprised of an ultra-hard tool steel. Manufactured using National’s patented blade-hardening process, they will stay sharper longer, with a longer life and better overall performance than any other similar-sized blade on the market. They have been extensively tested for use on VCT, VAT, wood, tile, rubber, epoxy, and elastomeric coatings. This blade is a great choice for quick removal of carpet squares, VCT/VAT, wood, rubber and paver tiles.
The 6290-GT is a 6″ thicker slanted blade that can be resharpened using a standard hand grinder with metal wheel. It measures 3.75″ deep x 6″ wide x .187″ thick.
